Job functions describe the work people do in a library. They can be used to associate process maps with the people who work on them and to organise approval requirements. Roles still control what people are permitted to do.

Create a job function

  1. Open Users and choose Roles & Users.
  2. Open the Job Functions tab and select Add Job Function.
  3. Enter a name and choose the roles whose members will manage this job function. Save it.

Manage members

Open the job function's member list to add or remove people. People can also choose their own job functions from the Your Job Functions prompt. These choices are self-declared until confirmed. In Job Functions > Self-declared, authorised managers can review and confirm them. Confirmed membership is required for function-based approvals.

Assign job functions to process maps

When you add or edit a process map, use its Job Functions field to select the functions related to that process. You can also review the job functions while preparing a draft for approval. AI-generated process maps keep the job function selected for the map.

Tenant admins can create and rename job functions. People who manage a job function can manage its membership.
