How do you edit a lifecycle?

Update your lifecycles to reflect changes in your processes

The ability to edit a Lifecycle requires the Global Owners role or certain role permissions.

  1. Click the person icon in the top-right of the browser.
  2. Click 'Lifecycles'.
  3. Next to the Lifecycle that needs editing, click 'Edit'.
  4. To rename the Lifecycle, re-type the name into the 'Name' text box and click 'Update'.
  5. To change the template, select a template from the dropdown list.
  6. To change the descriptive terms, type in the various discription text boxes.

The ability to delete a Lifecycle Stage requires the Global Owners role or certain role permissions.

  1. Click the person icon in the top-right of the browser.
  2. Click 'Lifecycles'.
  3. Next to the Lifecycle that the stage is under, click 'Edit'.
  4. Next to the Lifecycle Stage that needs deleting, click 'Edit'.
  5. Click 'Delete' to delete the specified Lifecycle Stage.
  6. If there are any Input items currently assigned to the specified Stage, the user will need to select a new Lifecycle Stage for them to be assigned to.

The ability to add a Lifecycle Stage requires the Global Owners role or certain role permissions.

  1. Click the person icon in the top-right of the browser.
  2. Click 'Lifecycles'.
  3. Next to the Lifecycle that needs stages changed, click 'Edit'.
  4. To add a new Stage, click 'Add New Lifecycle Stage'.
  5. Name the stage in the 'Name' text box.
  6. Check 'Voting allowed?' if you want users to be able to vote on Input at this stage.
  7. Check 'Input deletion allowed?' if the Input at this stage can be deleted.
  8. Check 'Is this a Closed stage?' if there is no further action to be taken on Input at this stage in the lifecycle.
  9. Check 'Send email notification when Input reaches this stage?' if you would like users to recieve email notifications when their Input items reaches this stage.
  10. Click 'Update'.
